A contemporary French provincial, this residence is an elegant family home situated on a picturesque leafy street surrounded by mature landscape.
This project designed on what could be a near perfectly flat natural ground surface with minimal 1 metre of slope across the site. This home was relatively straight forward to integrating into the natural slope of the land retaining a very accessible entrance to the grand porch.
Inside, this residence is abundant in carefully designed spaces, including a 2-car garage with workshop area, a formal lounge or perfect home office space, spacious open living area and a secondary large family retreat on the upper floor and a very spacious master bedroom, huge walk-in-robe and ensuite alike. This house was designed to maximize views and allow an abundant amount of light to enter each crafted space whilst providing a private sanctuary for it's residents.
With the North sun entering the property from it's side, emphasis was placed into orienting this floor plan to maximise the northern sun exposure. Access to the side facing recreational open space is provided directly from the living area and the large alfresco facing this beautifully landscaped yard. Once established, trees along the fenceline will provide privacy for the family, and a beautiful space for the kids to play amongst the shadows cast throughout the afternoon golden hour enhancing this homes charm.
